So this week I did some interviews with some of my favorite bloggers. I hope everyone enjoyed them as much as me.
There were not to many informational tips posted by me this week, so I have decided that every Thursday I am going to make a collection of the best and most informational posts from other bloggers as well. Since there is only one more interview, I will continue writing about what I love to do and that is PPC marketing!
Here is my tip for the day; average CPC and max CPC. If you know anything about PPC marketing, then you know what these two things are. About six months ago I read about a strategy that I was unaware of at the time, and use often now. Basically you start out your campaign with a really high bid on your keywords, then keep watching your average CPC. Find the average position your looking for and as your campaign runs with a high bid, your CTR will be much higher, allowing your quality score to increase. With your quality score high, you will be able to bid lower to achieve a higher rank in ad positions. Personally, I don’t like being in the top three, it seems like people just click those sporadically just to see what the ad contains then they return to the search results. So I am always looking to be at position 4 or 5. When using this strategy, I watch my average CPC for awhile and it is usually about $0.10 lower than my max. I continue to lower the bid, and lower it as my quality score is going up and I am naturally placing higher with lower bids. When using this method, you usually end up spending a good bit of money in the first few days, and maybe even just break even, but it is worth it in the long run!
So def. try that sometime. Like I said you could and will most likely not make any money for a few days but when you start to lower your bids you should see a great ROI.
Now for the best informational posts this week from a few of my favorite blogs.

yea i don’t place too much value in being top spot in paid search. i think you probably get a lot of arbitrary clicks. a high ctr doesn’t mean quality traffic right?!

right, it usually always increases your quality score though.
